Leotheras the BlindLeo has two real phases. One will take some preparation. So for this fight you will need 1 FR tank. You can use either a warlock in FR badge gear or a FR badge gear warrior. We chose a warrior because it was just better for us. I will get back to these phases earlier just wanted to throw the resistance factor our early :).
In the picture below, Our main tank is right around where the red dot is. Thats our tank safe area and our ideal place to have him tanked in all phases. Anywhere in the yellow ring is a good place to put a spitfire totem from any shaman. This will help a lot when Leo comes out of his whirlwind ability.
Melee get to dance in and out of the yellow area and need to get out early to avoid the rend from whirlwind. If you don't you're going to most likely get some healers killed eventually.
Range/Healers will be in the green area. It is very important that you don't stack up and stay spread out along the green line. When Leo does the whirlwind, if targeted you need to run straight backwards. If your dps is decent you could call off all dps during this phase and focus on not getting hit by the rend. Calling off dps will also make it easier for the tank to pick up Leo, because at the end of the whirl he drops all aggro and can easily go for a range dps or a healer. Warlock's and SPriests should not dot during the whirlwind. As if your dots tick after the whirlwind is over you will most likely had him coming at you with no tank.
The most important part about this fight is aggro control. If you cannot handle your dots don't put them up until after he is being tanked again. And just do raw dmg via shadow bolt/mind blast during the phases where hes about to drop aggro. Such as whirlwind. If you do pull aggro don't run away from a tank as you will be wasting more optimal dps time. What you need to do its get some balls and run in to the tank. The longer Leo is not on a tank the longer dps is held up and it's more likely more people will die because 1-2 people couldn't handle dpsing correctly. So it's very very important that dps pays attention to what they are doing the whole entire fight.
This fight starts off by engaging 3 adds, So 2-3 tanks is a must. These adds do an aoe mind blast that hits 5 targets. If the raid is all stacked up this can be pretty nasty. So spread the adds out so healers aren't wasting their mana before the fight really starts.
He will start off in his normal phase. Which is basically he gets tanked by a normally geared tank, and then he will do two whirlwinds. After the second he will go into his next phase.
During his demon phase let the FR tank pick him up. To give the tank some time to pick up the aggro, everyone can take the first 2-3 seconds of this phase to move into a healer in the middle area. Stacking up insures that when he gives everyone inner demons that people can receive heals. Some people like to run away and get rtardtastic and LOS healers trying to keep them alive.
In his demon phase, he does an aoe fire damage. If your FR tank resists the damage everyone in that area will resist the damage such as melee. So melee keep and eye out on your debuffs if the tank gets hit by 2-3 of the fire spells you need to get out as your debuffs will likely make it for an easy death for you. Everyone can dps on this even healers the healing isn't very intensive at the beginning of the phase. After about 10-15seconds everyone needs to prepare themselves for inner demons. Casters should get shields up, and not waste heavy dmg cool downs until after inner demons spawn.
Inner Demons spawn on five people at once. Only the person who has an inner demon can kill them/target them. So pay attention. Once they spawn dps them down as fast as possible. If you fail to do so, you will be mind controlled by Leo. The raid will have to kill you and continue on without you. For healers a little bit of spell hit comes in handy here.
During the demon phase is when you are going to see most of your damage done. As he is stationary the whole phase. Once the demon phase is up, you need to stop dps again. Then you are back to the beginning. So you will need to have your raid spread out again.
It will be rinse and repeat until 15%. At 15% the boss will split and have both his demon phase an his regular form up. So both phases are going on at the same time. What you need to do is ignore the demon form and just keep that tank up. The key is to stay calm and just stick with the game plan. He will continue to do his whirlwind. So DPS smart and control your aggro. The more you try to zerg him down the more you are making a mistake. So, dps after the whirlwind and continue to do soft dps during the whirlwind. If you can stay calm and stay spread out. You will be enjoying your first pieces of t5 out of SSC.
If you are in demon phase around 17-18% you should call off dps until after inner demons happens. After inner demons are down you can continue dps. You do this so you don't have people creating aggro while the boss is splitting.
Group Make up:
2 Prot Warriors - We bring 3 tanks.
1 Feral Druid - Can dps in kitty gear and still tank a beginning add with a healer.
1-2 Rogues - We like to keep bets on how long them and other melee stay alive.
5-6 Mages
2-3 Locks
1-3 Hunters - helpful for misdirects between phases, so dps can start earlier.
2-3 Holy Pallys - Salv is a must.
1-2 Holy Priests
1-2 Resto Shamans - Fire totems help with getting Leo back to the tank after whirlwinds.
1 Resto Druid - Why not.
1 Oomkin Druid - Ok.
1 Elemental Shaman - Ok.
